Where It's At

Not here, that's for sure. I'm busy.

  • Everything on yourish.com today. Jim was haunted by "Meirav Was Two" (which title keeps calling to my mind an old Harlan Ellison story, "Jeffty Is Five," though the two tales have nothing to do with each other). What I can't get out of my head, though, is the sheer wickedness of the U.N. Yes, wickedness. Any other term is insufficient.

  • Up For Anything has the story of how Pat Tillman met his courageous end, and how he earned the Silver Star.

  • Teenage daughters are hell. Presented without commentary.

  • The Patriette has a report, with photos, from a coworker stationed with the National Guard in Iraq.

  • O Canada! We shut our gates to thee. Via that Dennison fella again, who had it from Jane Galt. Hey, did you know Phil rocks, literally? It's true.

  • I was searching for a good chicken saagwala or saag paneer recipe online the other day, as I don't like the one I've got for chicken saagwala and, basically, I just love what Indians do with spinach. In the course of my search, I found this humorous restaurant-review-slash-chronicle-of-a-breakup: Six Days of Saag Paneer. WARNING: If you are fond of Indian food, reading this will make you very, very hungry.

  • "This Is Why I Don't Visit My South Carolina Relatives: They tend to get into gunfights on the highway."
