Thursday Fluff

First album you bought, last album you bought? Tell Jim in the comments or, if you have your own blog, post the answers and track it on back to him.

First album: Saturday Night Fever. Pray, do not mock me. I saved up my allowance for weeks to buy that one. Did I mention my allowance at the time was a quarter per week?

Furthermore, I have it on CD. So nyah.

Last album: Acoustic Soul, India.Arie. I'll be honest, I've been meaning to sell it back somewhere. I find it pretty uneven. But I still like "Video."

And yeah, it's been a while since I've purchased any new CDs. A long, long while.

Wait, you know something? I'm wrong about the most recently purchased one. I forgot this recording. If we're counting classical, that's the last one I bought.

UPDATE: Uh, okay, so I guess today isn't Friday. Title changed to reflect the correct day of the week because I am a moron.

I love Saturday Night Fever! I was a massive Bee-Gees fan. Still am, I guess. Lovely Wife is a fan too. She was heartbroken when Maurice died a couple years ago.

You're about the third person today who's mixed up the Thursday/Friday deal. Must be that almost full moon. ;-)

I've been doing it all WEEK, actually, starting with Monday, which I thought was Tuesday. Something ain't right. A delayed leap-year effect, maybe?

Um...one of the first albums I had as a child was the Muppet version of Saturday Night Fever.

Does that make me a young dork, or what?

I'm not that old yet, but I'll be damned if I can remember the first album I ever bought. Kenny Rogers? Weird Al Yankovic? It would have been a cassette tape, whatever it was.

The last one was definitely They Might Be Giants' "Indestructible Object" EP last month.
