The only thing funnier than this parody site is the reaction to that parody site, which perfectly justifies the parody, which provokes the outraged response, which further reinforces--okay, I gotta lie down a minute, my head's spinning.

Posted by: Roxanne at April 2, 2006 10:31 AMEh.
There's a target there, but I think they missed it.
Posted by: Pixy Misa at April 2, 2006 07:12 PMOh yeah Pixy? Well you're...unattractive! And have no friends! And I don't like your blog!
I kid, that's fair feedback and duly noted. In the interest of full disclosure: I did these posts.
Posted by: Hubris at April 3, 2006 07:21 AMI concur with Pixy. And I thought it was pretty jerky for them to make fun of him for being a stay at home father. (I'm refering to the tagline.)
Posted by: Susan B. at April 3, 2006 10:25 AMThey weren't making fun of him for being a stay-at-home father; the tagline is, as I understand it, part chickenhawk jab (which I don't agree with, but whatever) and part play on Jeff's actual tagline, "because not just anybody can read the news."
Furthermore, having seen some things I am not really at liberty to share here, I nonetheless can say that Jeff knows damn good and well they weren't making fun of him for being a stay-at-home father--but I don't expect him to acknowledge that publicly any time before hell freezes over. No, he'll just keep playing the same martyr tune over and over and over and over and . . . .
Posted by: ilyka at April 3, 2006 10:32 AMDamn. I was busy all day Saturday. Missed it.
VERY funny.
Posted by: Meryl Yourish at April 3, 2006 11:16 AMMeryl, I may have lost the husband contest, but I love you.
Posted by: Hubris at April 3, 2006 01:03 PMIlyka,
I stand corrected. However, I still think the parody missed the mark somewhat.
