What the fuck is all that about?

(Four to go! Wee hee!!)

Seriously, someone has got to go talk sense to that fucking country.

I nominate Helen.

Are we talking the same people who replace the phrase "Failure" with "Deferred Success?"

British Public Schools: Raising generation after generation of girls, regardless of chromosomal configuration.

Disclaimer: I still highly respect the percentage of the British with balls... and by that I mean figurative, Freudian balls, rather than the actual manly tool.

*Quits while he is ahead.*

Wow, OHNOES, that's quite the random chicks-R-lame dig, considering the fact that you're commenting on a rule made by a male headmaster, rationalized by a male assistant headmaster, and soundly ridiculed by four female bloggers that I can count. If you think you're ahead now, I'd hate to see where you are when you fall behind.

*Looks around, sighs*

Wait, you got "Chicks-R-Lame" outta that? Hi, I'm OHNOES, nice to meet you. In case you didn't notice, I'm Ilyka's official creepy stalker/gushing groupie. Women are most certainly my favorite gender.

I'm surprised you got that out of my post. To me, I'm poking fun at a series of capitulation-oriented British school system decisions while making a provision that I still respect the British that still show the sorts of British resolve that make Britain a country worthy of some measure of respect(See http://nontrivialsolutions.blogspot.com/2005/07/open-letter.html). The issue with the gender stuff was more silly word choice which I thought I had made clear that I was fumbling with.

OHNOES, it might have been the insinuation that being a 'girl' is a bad thing.

Personally I went to a comprehensive and so I am a well rounded individual who never had his arse cheeks used as a bicycle rack or crumpet holder. ;-)

What Kav said: you equated an irredeemably stupid policy with "raising a generation of girls". If you meant that the five-f-words rule was part of a trend of Britain raising a generation of [losers / people without spines / etc], which you apparently did, say so, rather than trusting strangers to assume that you mean that the policy is lame and that the policy is part of a stupid trend toward raising a generation of chicks, but that somehow this should not be taken to mean that chicks are lame. I'm glad that you like women and all, but if you need to provide extensive background on your beliefs in order to argue that you're not a misogynist, perhaps you're not communicating very clearly.

Anyway, I don't want to use Ilyka's space to discuss this any more; you have my email if you do.

Right, I concede complete failure at appropriate word choice. I didn't expect to get drive-by misogynist'd so fast, though.
